Paper Doll Books website is now live!

I’m absolutely thrilled to announce that Carmel Grant Designs has launched a brand new product – Colour & Style Paper Doll Books. The Colour & Style Paper Doll Book website is officially live—and our online shop is now open! This moment has been a long time coming, and I couldn’t be more excited to finally share these special books with you.

The idea for these paper doll books was born during the first COVID-19 lockdown, a time when so many of us felt overwhelmed and uncertain. I turned to comforting memories and found myself rewatching classic 80s and 90s films. They brought back a sense of joy and simplicity that I remembered from my own childhood, especially the endless hours of imaginative, screen-free play.

I started designing simple, printable paper dolls and shared them for free on my website www.carmelgrantdesigns.ie. The response was overwhelming. Parents sent me messages about how their children were enjoying colouring in the outfits and immersing themselves in imaginative creative play. It was an amazing feeling knowing that something so small, that I designed, could bring such joy.

That encouragement inspired me to keep going, and slowly, the Colour & Style Paper Doll Books came to life. These books are printed here in Waterford City, Ireland and include a stand-up paper doll and a mix of outfits and accessories that children can colour in, cut out, and dress up. Each book is designed to spark creativity and invite young artists to become both a designer and stylist. Suitable for boys or girls aged 5 to 12 years (and older), they are the perfect present for any child, especially for a special occasion like a birthday gift.

My hope is that these books offer more than just a fun activity and they bring a spark of joy and imagination in a child’s day, a little escape from the fast-paced, digital world. I’m incredibly proud of how far this project has come, and I can’t wait for you and your children to experience the magic for yourselves.
