One year ago, Carmel Grant Designs launched the original first two books, Popstar and Superhero, and what an incredible year it has been since then. What started as a creative idea has grown into a much-loved collection that has found its way into homes and gift shops across Ireland, and other parts of the world.

Over the past twelve months, we've had the pleasure of meeting so many wonderful customers at markets, fairs and events throughout the country. Every conversation, purchase, recommendation and word of encouragement has helped Paper Doll Books grow, and we're so grateful to everyone who has stopped by our stand along the way.

One of the highlights of 2025 was attending Gifted Fair 2025, where we introduced the Paper Doll Books to even more families, gift buyers and retailers. It was fantastic to see such enthusiasm for a product that encourages creativity, imagination and screen-free play.

The excitement continued into 2026 when Paper Doll Books were showcased at Showcase Ireland in the RDS. It was a particularly proud moment for Carmel Grant Designs, with Carmel being named a finalist in the Local Enterprise Office Business of Craft Awards. As if that wasn't enough, the Dance Star Paper Doll Book was selected for the prestigious DCCI The Edit Shortlist, a wonderful recognition of the creativity and craftsmanship behind the collection.

Perhaps the biggest surprise of all has been seeing how quickly Paper Doll Books have found their place on shop shelves around the country. Today, the books are stocked by eight national retailers, helping even more children discover the joy of dressing, styling and storytelling through paper dolls.

Looking back over the last year, we're incredibly proud of how far Paper Doll Books has come, but even more thankful for the people who made it possible. To every customer, retailer, market organiser, supporter, family member and friend who has cheered us on, thank you. Your support means the world.
